We'd like to share our Pre and Post Waxing tips with you, to help you have the best experience possible. Also, be sure to check out the Frequently Asked Questions below.

Pre-Waxing Tips

Grow your hair out! The longer the better. We recommend not shaving for ideally 3 weeks prior to your wax.

Do not trim! We can do a quick trim to ensure your hair is the perfect length and not too short.

Moisturize! We recommend moisturizing the area being waxed for a couple of days before your appointment (we recommend avocado or jojoba oil ). Dry skin can make waxing a bit more painful, so using moisturizer ahead of time and have a better experience!

Exfoliate! Gently exfoliate the days or weeks leading up to your wax to remove dead skin around your follicles. DO NOT exfoliate the day of your wax.

Avoid intense heat or hot water! The day of your wax, avoid saunas, hot baths, tanning, or hot yoga. A warm shower is perfectly fine, just nothing hot or steamy!

Tell us about medications! Let us know if you are being treated by a doctor, taking medication, or using prescription skin-care products. And please inform us of any previous adverse reactions to waxing.

Post Waxing Tips

Some slight redness, soreness or small bumps at the follicles are perfectly normal temporary reactions. Particularly if this is your first wax. These symptoms should subside over the next 24 hours. Do not hesitate to call if you have concerns or experience persistent redness or irritation. We wish we could say that you won’t break out or have any ingrown hairs ever, but that wouldn’t be true. Here are a few things you can do to minimize post-waxing trauma.

The First 24 Hours

Avoid heat, bacteria and sweat! So no intense exercise, sex, hot tubs, hot springs, saunas, tanning and hot showers. Keep your skin clean and wear clean loose fitting clothes! Try not to touch your skin too much or apply any products that might irritate your skin.

2-3 Days After Your Wax

Exfoliate! You may start gently exfoliating to prevent ingrown hairs. We recommend using a dry brush or gentle body scrub. To get rid of, and proactively prevent, ingrown hairs we highly recommend purchasing Serious Serum which you can use daily.

One Week Later

You may notice a small amount of re-growth! It can take up to four waxing treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives the best results. DO NOT shave between appointments, or you will never see the benefits of waxing.

FAQ

Q – Is getting a Brazilian awkward?

A – Nope! It is our most popular service. Don’t worry about feeling ‘naked’ around us. We’re women and we’ve got what you’ve got. Bikini waxes are not awkward—we do them all day long. We’ve seen it all, waxed it all. We concentrate on giving you the most painless wax possible.

Q – I have my period, can I still get a bikini wax?

A – Yes. We just suggest that clients wear a tampon during the service. You may be a little more sensitive, but if you’re worried about what we will think, don’t be! If you don’t care, we don’t care.

Q – What is the difference between a basic bikini, bikini plus and Brazilian?

A – The basic bikini removes the hair that would fall outside of your average swimsuit line. A bikini plus removes in a little further than the swimsuit line, but not the labia, and includes all the way back through the booty. With the Brazilian you can either take everything off or leave a small shape on top.

Q – Do I need an appointment?

A – Yes. You can book an appointment online here or give us a call at the shop. Keep in mind, evenings and weekends are our most popular times.

Q – What is your cancellation policy?

A – 24 hours. If you are unable to cancel 24 hours in advance, you will be charged for the service.
